Darwin

Hello!  We have put this page together as a way to share a bit about ourselves and help you get to know us.   For a long time we were a family of 4.  Our furry family member was named Darwin, and we adopted him from a rescue.    He was scruffy and full of energy and we just fell in love with him.  He had many adventures with us and was always ready to play.  We were lucky to have him for over 12 years.    He was diagnosed with cancer in a place that wasn’t  easy to treat.  Very quickly our playful, cheese and chicken loving boy would not eat or drink.  He didn’t want to do the things he loved – going for walks, playing and eating.  It wasn’t long before he was gone.

His passing took quite the toll on us.  It has been over a year now.   Over the past few months we have found ourselves looking at dog pictures and videos on Facebook and Instagram.  We know it is time for us to have dogs in our lives again.

We love the scruffy-ness and tenacity of Terriers and would love to find a new family member.

A few facts about us:

  • Arron works from home for a software company.  He does attend meetings within driving distance of home 2-3 times a month; but is usually gone only for 90-120 minutes.  He likes to think he can make things out of wood; but is better at mowing the grass.
  • Alisa works at a nearby school.  She has holidays and summers off.  She is quite a baker and has a recipe for dog treats (that we called Scooby Snacks) that Darwin loved!
  • Madison lives at home and goes to Columbus State Community College.  She is confident that our new family member will want to sleep in her room!
  • We live in Gahanna, Ohio (suburb of Columbus).  Arron & Alisa grew up nearby and we have family in the area.

We would be happy to answer any questions you might have about us.  Darwin taught us quite a lot about about loving a dog.  We would love to share the stories…
